Reporting a problem
If a game misbehaves — an illegal move accepted, a puzzle that cannot be solved, a board that will not load — a description of what you were doing and which browser you were using is enough to investigate.
For chess positions, the FEN string shown beside the board identifies the position exactly and is the most useful thing to include.
Suggesting a guide
If there is a topic you looked for and did not find, that is useful to know. Guides are written in response to what people actually want to understand rather than to a keyword list.
Corrections
The guides aim to be accurate about rules, history and technique. If something is wrong, it will be corrected and the page will note the change.
Translation
The interface is available in ten languages. If a translation reads awkwardly in your language, corrections are genuinely welcome — machine-assisted wording is not always idiomatic.
What we cannot help with
- Account or password problems, because there are no accounts.
- Recovering lost progress, because it is stored only in your browser.
- Advertising placements, which are handled by Google rather than by us.
